Josef Felder's determination and perseverance have always been the key to his professional success. He is a man of enthusiasm and conviction, who welcomes opportunities to take on new challenges.
"During my many years as CEO of Unique (Flughafen Zürich AG) I was confronted with situations that put high demands on my team and myself." Josef Felder navigated the company through a successful privatisation process and helped put it on a sound financial footing. In recognition of his outstanding achievements, commitment and visionary thinking, he was elected 2008 Manager of the Year by the Swiss magazine "travel manager". At the awards ceremony, Josef Felder paid tribute to the employees of Zurich Airport: "Without them, these achievements would not have been possible."
Zurich Airport is Switzerland's gateway to the world. It is not only a major transportation hub, but since completing a phase of expansion it has also become an important commercial centre for the region. "I am proud that I was able to make a significant contribution to establishing Zurich Airport as one of the best in the world." Since 2008 Josef Felder has acted as independent member of various company boards.
